Stacey, my beloved girl, you already KNOWWWW I am a.) all about these kinds of moments of unfettered spiritual assertion and submit that they should be every day without fail b.) even more all about dogs at all times and c.) could not love Nova’s little poodly face more! I am so, SO glad did this. 💞

Nova is gorgeous, and I’m so impressed by your girls pitching skills too (can they start a Substack on “how to pitch”?).

Can very much relate to the loneliness sentiment. I find lots of connection when I write but that’s not always where I’m at! For me, it’s not just about having someone “around” but that connection that allows a sense of safety and a space for unmasking! I’ve no doubt little Nova is doing that, love it!

I think that we don’t like to talk about loneliness because we are accepting that we’re outside of the ‘herd’. And also, you can’t do anything about it, you can’t just magic someone up or go and grab someone off the street, but your voicenote when you are talking about that other adult in the room, just a look, or someone to watch telly with… I wrote about loneliness and being alone last year. Also, adore the new puppy 🐶

She is so gorgeous. I got an 8 week old JR/Yorkie cross two days after a bereavement and it was hard but also as you’ve written so beautifully they make you live, and laugh, and feel, and those sleepy puppy snuffles are heart melting 🥰
