I agree 100% it is not just the creative world. I was a sole trader freelance consultant for over 30 years. When I started it was really tough to know how much to charge. I was a lone consultant working alongside the big boys, charging 4x my day, or more, but doing the same job. I never really got the confidence to charge what I was worth, looking back.
Now I am retired I do Substack and creative things for myself. I don’t charge for a few reasons. Firstly, I still don’t have the confidence, if I am honest I don’t believe my work is worth it. Imposter syndrome, aka Nigel, existed in my professional life and still lurks on my shoulder. Secondly, I enjoy the space and want my Substack fully accessible to everyone but maybe 🤔 I should.
So here for all of this! And relate to way too much of it!
Here here Stacey! Well said 🧡💙
Excellent advice!

Spot on. I think this is particularly true in the freelance and creative spaces.
